A Historic Village with Flowing Springs
Kertezi lies at the beginning of the Vouraikos valley and has been inhabited since the pre-Mycenaean era. It is believed to stand near the site of the ancient city of Kynaitha, adding a fascinating cultural dimension to a stay at Chalet 1932 near Kalavryta.

Today, Kertezi is one of the oldest and most picturesque villages in the area. Along its paths you will find traditional stone houses, dense forests and the famous Kefalovryso, where the Vouraikos river springs directly from the mountain.
A defining feature of the village is its three traditional stone fountains known locally as “koutoules”, which flow throughout the year, along with a riverside path shaded by centuries-old plane trees.
